Year 2020 has so much to offer! The majority of this year might have made people stay inside their homes, but a very unique spectacle might make people think twice about feeling cozy inside their houses. It’s that time of the year to get spooked again! But this time, it will be a whole lot different! Aside from the challenge being brought by the pandemic, this year’s halloween will be astrologically rare.
Blue moon may sound a little strange but a full moon on Halloween across time zones is even more strange! The rare full “Halloween blue hunter’s moon” as they call it hasn’t happened since 1944. A blue moon was known as the third or fourth full moon in a single season.
What makes it the rarest?

The Full Halloween Moon will only happen again in the years 2039, 2058, 2077 and 2096. We’re just lucky to have it happen this year! The full moon will rise at 10:49 am ET on October 31 which explains why the moon will be visible across time zones. This is also the last day of Daylight Saving Time, so set your clocks back an hour on November 1 at 2:00 AM..
