NEW MUST-TRY COFFEE SHOP, LAUNCHED AT SM CDO DOWNTOWN

Start spreading the news! The Manolo Fortich's Pride Cafe recently opened its doors to Kagay-anons, welcoming a crowd of excited customers to a full taste of the “All-Bukidnon” product experience.

This cafe, founded during the struggling times of the pandemic in 2021, is the fruit of the founder’s love and dedication for their hometown, Bukidnon. Thus, the store promotes all products of Bukidnon, from coffee beans to pasteurized cow milk, pizza ingredients, and even pastries. It offers you “single origin” Typica Arabica coffee beans from Bukidnon(of course), colorful and delightful mocktails and cocktails too, and diverse kinds of pastries - locally sourced from the province.

Bud’z Cafe is dedicated to showcasing the products of The Highland Paradise at the Heart of Mindanao, Bukidnon, and lettingKagay-anons know that we have “Coffee Pride.” The cafe gives us the full experience of coffee from the Talaandig Tribes (approximately 1,733 MASL) of Mt. Kalatungan of the province of Bukidnon. Its coffee beans are produced by one of the rarest and hardest-to-grow coffee plants found in the Philippines, Typica Arabica Coffee. This particular variety of coffee requires steep terrain, so only traditional coffee growing methods enable it to flourish. It is also more prone to pests, and it takes 3 to 4 long years of cultivation before the first harvest, reasons why only a few farmers choose to plant this variety.

The Fifth Floor in SM CDO Downtown Premiere was bustling more than usual on the afternoon of February 18, as Bud’z Cafe celebrated its grand opening. The cafe was quickly filled with customers – locals and visitors alike – who spent the day celebrating and tasting drinks made with different Bukidnon products

Bud’z Cafe is now located at SM CDO Downtown Premiere Fifth Floor. Open on Mondays to Thursdays, 8:00 am - 09:00 pm, and Fridays to Sundays, 08:00 am - 10:00 pm.
