Manny Pacquiao to Donates Fees from Globe Endorsement to Typhoon Victims
As a new ambassador of Globe Telecom, Senator and boxing legend Manny Pacquaio will donate his fees to victims of Typhoon Rolly and Ulysses after signing the endorsement deal with the said telecom.
“I am given another God-given opportunity to be of help to our kababayans in any way I can that is why my endorsement fee for this will go to relief efforts to help our kababayans who were affected by the devastation of typhoons Rolly and Ulysses,” Pacquiao said during the live-streamed event on Tuesday.
With Globe President and CEO Ernest Cu and Globe Chairman and Ayala Corporation Chairman Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala, the contract signing was held at Raffles Hotel in Makati City.
The partnership will allow Filipinos worldwide to watch Pacquiao’s upcoming fights via Upstream, a new video-on-demand platform, and GMovies, a booking service platform for online video streaming sites.
Dondon Monteverde, an Upstream partner, expressed his gratitude to the People’s Champ and said it was a privilege and honor for Upstream to air his next fight via live streaming to the people.
