The rise of weird and chilling commercials has always left questions on people's minds and behind the viral ones is the GIGIL Agency. The latest one is the commercial made by Julie's Bakeshop that easily went viral and gained different reactions online.


As they celebrate their 40th year in the baking industry, they decided to put some twist and deliver their commercial to a whole new level.

With their commercial video description "Fresh at 40 pa rin! Kabahan na ang mga Tita shamer diyan. Sige kayo, sumbong namin kayo kay Tita Julie! #JuliesFreshAt40" it is understood that the commercial is trying to tell its audience that despite it being on its 40th year, it is still fresh. That is exactly the reason why the commercial was made that way.

According to GIGIL's associative director, (Gigil was also behind RC Cola's Viral Commercial) they wanted the audience to get the main message that the bakeshop is telling: that old doesn't mean cold and that the bakeshop remains fresh throughout the years. They also wanted people to think differently about the brand that they used to know.


Tanada also highlighted the theme of the commercial which is #NoToTitaShamingBeing and said "Being tita is at the core of the brand,". The image of "Julie" as the caring tita who bakes is something we all know so GIGIL felt that the #StopTitaShaming campaign was an exact fit, he added. "
